First I was curious, maybe cos I too have tried using bumble and it was a massive disaster. But when you mentioned her bringing a friend, I was afraid for you and when she asked about your tribe, I just burst out in hard laughter cos tell me why anyone would expect a date of theirs to commune in their local dialect? Sorry for the laugh but I couldn't hold back.
Wishing you the best in your journey, I've given up on bumble.
You no go install am again ke? I tried dating apps about two years ago and found out it doesn't work in Nigeria. I tried it in Kenya and I met a good number of interesting people, who I still talk to, till today. I think it's more of a cultural thing and considering the time spent on it, it's not my go to approach.
What I do now is to approach people in person first at events. We talk for a while and I let them know I'll like to have their number if we want it to lead somewhere. I mention there's no need to give it, if you don't want us seeing anytime soon and it works for me.
It may have seemed like you were classist or a tad-bit judgmental or condescending but I believe it's normal human reaction. Give yourself grace 😂it wasn't meant to be
I have never used dating apps and I will never use them, this was a super-great read, thanks for sharing.
This made me laugh so much😂😂
Bumble sha 😂
That app casted a long time ago. Try Hinge, which is just as bad, but maybe you’ll have better luck. And if not, you’ll have stories.
This was a funny read 😂😂 keep going on them dates, Mr Cupid’s intern.

This was a thrilling read. 😂
“Move fast and break things”? That needs to become my motto!
Bumble is such a crazy place too. (But I found love there, so maybe I shouldn’t trash the app as much?)
Advice? Maybe try calling them like twice or thrice before going on dates? I know we’re moving fast, but we can move fast with calls too, abi?
Good luck with future endeavors! 😂😂
Man, dating apps are hell. Tinder taught me alot😭. Best of luck on the journey, you'll need it!

Move fast and break things is valid.
I do this too but not in trying to find love, just in building platonic relationships.
I don't even look for a dating relationship. Just potential lovers.
I lituhruhhhleee was about to commit to my non-fictionnn… I blame youu

I will never understand dating apps.
But then I've never had cause to use them.
My love interests always somehow work their way to my Whatsapp over time.
And Its straight fun from there.
You're writing has a comedic tone to it. It's nice.
This is so relatable, I love it🤣
This just reminded me of my best friend's bumble ordeal 🤣🤣.
I've tried Tinder and I found great friends when I went to a new city.
You installed it again 🤣🤣
